Dual Ramp w/ Metal Ledge | Handmade Fingerboard Obstacle
Pickup currently not available
Greetings and thank you for looking!
Firstly, FINGERBOARD NOT INCLUDED. This is just to show size compared to a standard fingerboard. I apologize if you got excited to have that included :/
This Obstacle was made by my very own hands! I only used an electric Jigsaw to get the rough cuts but EVERYTHING else was done my hand! I chiseled, dyed, coated, and everything else myself. As such they may have small imperfections and variations but I GUARANTEE their quality and your satisfaction or you can send it back for a full refund! My work will be Asymmetrical most of the time so please do not be alarmed at uneven placements of screws. This is on purpose to give it a more DIY skatepark look!
Here are a list of the quality materials used:
- High quality Poplar Wood with no aggressive knots nor split grain.
- Angelus Paint Brand Dyes (I restore Nike and Jordans with this brands paint. Their products have exceptional quality.
- Behr Clear Polyurethane Satin Finish
- GripRite #6 1" Screws
- Everbilt Aluminum Trim Channel (For grind ledge)
I will now briefly describe key points in how this was made:
- Rough Cuts for shapes
- Used Miter box with handsaw to cut angles
- Glued and clamped basic shape
- Sanded and Chiseled entire shape flush
- Pre-drilled then drilled in construction screws
- Stained wood with Special dye mix
- Finished wood with a Polyurethane Coat (1st coat) and sanded lightly
- Pre-drilled and Installed Ledge
- Finish again but the last 2 coats for a total of 3 Polyurethane Coats, for protection from wear and weather.
This is a brief summary as there is much more involved such as filing rough metal edges, making the screws flush, etc.. Please keep in mind I am still learning and will make better and better units as time goes on!
